1. Nanital and Ranikhet:
This place is famous among families and couples and is a beautiful place to visit in Uttarakhand. Nanital is situated at the bank of Naini Lake which is very famous in the valley. This place is surrounded on all sides with mountains and is a beast place for tourists to visit as there are many things to explore. One can go camping and trekking in Ranikhet. There are lots of spots here where one can enjoy adventurous activities.
2. Dehradun and Mussoorie:
Dehradun is the capital of Uttarakhand and is a located at a beautiful place surrounded by exquisite beauty. It is surrounded by Himalayan ranges from both sides and Ganga flowing from the both sides of the valley just adds charm to the valley. Mussoorie on the other hand us 38 km away from Dehradun. It is a beautiful hill location and is visited by many tourists for its unique beauty. In both of these cities there are many spots popular among the visitors and hence they are always full of tourists from various states and countries.
This place is famous for its shrines and temples and is very close to Hindus as these shrines are connected with Hindu mythology. Chamoli was a town which got its popularity by the “Chipko Movement” that was popular among environment and specifically tree lovers. This place is visited by Hindus as well as tourists as the place is rich in Garhwali traditions.
4. Rishikesh and Haridwar:
This place is a must visit is you are visiting Uttarakhand. Haridwar is known as the pilgrim capital and Rishikesh as the adventure capital which is visited by people all around the world and by locals. This place gives a nostalgic vibe of old times and is also famous for its spiritual energy.
This place is located at an elevation of 2,400 m and is a secluded area which goes through Nanda Kot, Nanda Devi, Chaukhambh and Kedarnath. Like the other places in Uttarakhand, this place is also associated with the stories of local Gods. There are beautiful home stays in Binsar which is a beautiful place to visit.
6. Jim Corbett Park:
Jim Corbett National Park is a wildlife sanctuary and was previously known by the name Haley’s National Park. It was established in 1938 and is attracted by people for its population of Royal Bengal Tigers. The wildlife sanctuary is home to around 600 species of animals as well as birds and is diverse in its flora as well. The sanctuary is visited by people in safaris that is offered by Jim Corbett and is used to travel in the buffer regions of the sanctuary and is open throughout the year.
